important to know...

Our ethos
We don't believe in a one size fits all approach to tutoring or education, and nor do we believe that a expert CV means an expert tutor. All our tutors are vetted and interviewed, by Tara, before we approve them. We do not just want subject knowledge - we want that knowledge delivered in a way that is dynamic and engaging, and the only way to ensure that it to see a lesson in action. Someone clever once said - 'teaching is one-fourth preparation and three-fourths pure theatre.' Fact. Without that commitment and energy, lessons fall flat and pupils will not engage.

tutor backgrounds
Our tutors come from a variety of backgrounds : some still teach in the classroom, some are full time tutors, some are retired teachers. This eclectic mix allows us the scope to match up the right tutor and pupil - what works for one child doesn't work for another, so a variety of temperaments, personalities and backgrounds gives us the ability to find the perfect match.

What is covered?
Short answer? Everything. From 7 and 11 plus exam preparation to Degree level support and anything in between.

But isn't an agency impersonal and hard to trust?
Maybe - but not this one. It's not faceless. Tara very much manages the day to day runnings and is on hand for anything a tutor, parent or pupil might require. She also practices what she preaches; her own kids have lessons with some of her tutors (a good general ruie of thumb is she would never take on a tutor she wouldn't use for her own kids) Apart from in English - where said kids have to endure their mother teaching them. Which they love. By still teaching, Tara is able to keep her hand in, doing what she loves, and making sure she can get the best out her tutors.

Our tutors design personalized learning plans that cater specifically to your child's unique strengths and weaknesses, ensuring effective progress.
